Privacy Policy
MapWise is a local-discovery service. This policy explains the minimum information used to operate search, AI review briefs and business applications.
Search and location
Your search words, selected area, ranking mode, radius and optional device location are sent to the MapWise service to return relevant Google Places results. MapWise records successful searches so the operator can understand product usage and improve recommendations. When location is supplied, coordinates are rounded to three decimal places before storage. Cloudflare may also provide approximate request city and country. Search records are associated with your account when you are logged in and otherwise recorded as anonymous. Google processes place searches under the Google Privacy Policy.
AI review briefs
When you request an AI review brief, MapWise retrieves a limited, relevance-ordered sample of reviews for the selected place from Google Places and sends the review text, rating and relative publication time to Cloudflare Workers AI for summarization. We do not send your name, email or device location. Review text is processed for the request and is not stored in our business database. If optional Gemini Maps grounding is enabled later, selected place information may instead be processed by Google Gemini. AI output may be inaccurate and should be checked against the linked source reviews.
Saved places and technical data
Saved places are stored locally in your browser or device. Cloudflare processes ordinary request information needed for security and delivery. MapWise uses short-lived server caching for ordinary search results, but does not cache raw review text used by the Cloudflare AI review brief.
Business applications
If you apply as a business, we store the information you submit, including contact details and business goals, in a Cloudflare D1 database and send an application notification to the MapWise operator at Soheil@solovfx.com so we can respond and provide onboarding. We do not sell this contact information. We retain an application while it is active or reasonably needed for business records.
Accounts and administrator access
If you create an account, we store your email address, a one-way password hash, account creation time, login events and secure session records in Cloudflare D1. We never store your plain-text password. The private administrator dashboard is restricted to the approved operator account and shows account, login, search and application activity.
Your choices
You may decline location access and search by city instead. You may clear saved places through the app or browser storage. To request access, correction or deletion of an account, search record or business application, use the business application form and write “Privacy request” in the goals field.
Third-party services
MapWise uses Google Places and Google Maps links, and Cloudflare hosting, Workers AI and database services. Their own policies apply when they process information.
